Title of the Congress: 1st International Customs and Trade Congress

The theme of the Congress:“Global trade during and after the pandemic”

Purpose: 1st International Customs and Trade Congress; is organized to bring together national and international actors and parties involved in the area of  “Customs and Trade” in a common platform. In this context;

  • Economic impacts of the Covid-19 outbreak and policy recommendations,
  • Post-pandemic globalization and developing countries,
  • develop effective solution recommendations related to the sector,
  • create an environment bringing together scientists where they can prepare and present papers which will serve a science-oriented development of the sector,
  • contribute to the formation of a fast and effective service understanding that adopts the rule of law in the field of customs and trade,
  • identify coordination problems between actors in customs and trade applications,
  • Identify legislative gaps in Customs and Trade issues and problematic areas regarding the implementation of the legislation,
  • Help Turkey become one of the most convenient and secure countries in the world for trade,
  • identify problems regarding inequalities in international trade and to make recommendations to facilitate legal trade,

Post-Congress Publications and Publishing of Papers as Articles:

  • A book of abstracts and full papers to be prepared in the wake of the congress will be published electronically on August 15, 2021, upon obtaining an ISBN, and they will be available for the participants’ access on the website.
  • Amongst the voluntary participants, full texts of the papers presented at the congress will be published in the Customs and Trade Journal, which is published as a peer-reviewed journal. The participants who want their papers to be published in the journal can directly upload their papers – as aligned with the publishing and spelling rules of the journals – on the website. No extra assessment process shall be applied for the papers that are subject to the congress arbitration process.
